Our Chinese Elementary 2 Course is designed for students who are exposed to more and more natural Chinese conversations, who can organise language to respond to some contexts while travelling in China, who ideally has knowledge of 400+ words.
In this course, students will continue to learn with Pinyin but ideally can start to pick up the essential Hanzi introduced in the previous courses. In each of our Elementary course, 50 Hanzi will be introduced along with the best ways to memorize them. Our lessons maintain strong focus on conversational skills training talking about your travel planning, buying tickets, hotel check-in, asking for directions etc.

In this course, students will continue to learn with the assistance of Pinyin, but will start to practise reading Hanzi in the texts. Another 50 Hanzi will be introduced along with the best ways to memorize them. Our lessons maintain strong focus on conversational skills training talking about hometown, festival celebrations, online shopping and studying abroad etc.
The key grammar points in this course include adjective complement using得, asking about frequency, describing things about to happen, or things happening in sequence using 先,再,然后, numbers and percentages, more use of 就 in conditional sentences.

For conversational practise, we will move away from text reading to real life stories. Each lesson, we will practise story telling with an interesting subject. Students will watch a story told by a native speaker and follow the example to tell their own stories.
Key grammar points covered in this course include review of verb complement of result, and direction; introduction of complement of possibility; rhetorical questions; flexible use of interrogative pronouns etc.
If you have learnt all of these, you can consider taking the next course – Upper- Intermediate.

The 5 headline topics in this course are 爱情,友谊,工作,赚钱,购物。Students will practise their listening skills by listening to native speakers on video answering various related questions in unfiltered language, then students will follow suite to practise answering these questions with their own options and stories.
