I took the Chinese classes with Dear Asia and I absolutely loved it. My teacher was Gen Laoshi, she was very experienced, patient and made the classes very interactive and interesting. I thought learning mandarin might be difficult, but thanks to their method, it feels very manageable and fun. I cannot recommend them enough

I started to learn Chinese last year and have really enjoyed the classes. There is a good balance between learning the theoretical concepts and practicing how to apply them in day to day interactions. I would recommend the classes to anyone who wanted to learn Mandarin whether it’s for work or for travel.
Update: carried on with the classes and I’m feeling more confident now about having conversations in Mandarin, even outside the class 🎉

I'm learning Korean, I have had three lessons with no more than three students in the class. The tutor is very patient and gives us time to answer that questions. The text books are great and easy to follow. This weekend is my last and I'm looking forward to booking the level two course.

Our teachers are all Chinese native speakers and have at least two years of teaching experiences before joining our team, so we have made sure that you are in good hands. Besides that, the teachers also hold an M.As or PHDs in education or related Area of study, such as translation or linguistics.
As we mentioned, all our students have busy schedules. We totally understand. In Dear Asia, we provide two free make-up lessons each term for you. You can join the different groups to cover the lessons you miss. Alternatively, you can also book a private online lesson with us. At our school, students’ learning is our priority.
Of course, you are very welcomed! For beginner courses, you can take one of our monthly demo lessons before signing for a course. For higher-level courses, we offer free trial lesson to one class, where you can benchmark your level with the class. If the class does not suit, we can place you into a different one with the cost of a lesson.
Private tutoring
We have both in-person and online lessons for private tutoring students. You can choose which one suits you better. For in-person class, you can come to our school, or our teacher can travel to your place for the class (within zone 1).
According to our previous experiences, private lessons are for students who have a very busy schedule and would like to have more flexibility for their Chinese lesson.
students who need to move to China/Taiwan or Singapore soon
students who have a very busy schedule, or would like to have lesson in the morning
students who want to have customised learning content
Yes, that’s actually something we would recommend you to do. During the trial lesson, our teacher can assess your level, listen to your learning objectives and preference, design a learning plan for you. What’s better, our trial lesson is offered at half priced, and it’s carried out online.
