We started as professional teachers—and now we’re professional Mahjong instructors! Either way, it means we know how to teach new skills to beginners. Our Mahjong workshops in London have been a great success, which is why we’ve created online tutorials for Mahjong beginners to learn from anywhere, even outside of London.
Beginner Course
This is essentially our New Beginner Workshop – Level 1. We’ll start right away by exploring the Mahjong set, understanding its components, setting up the game, and learning the basic rules so you can start playing. By the end, we’ll also discuss the differences between various Mahjong styles.
We teach Hong Kong style Mahjong, known for being the most beginner-friendly. Once you master it, you’ll find it easy to transition to other Mahjong variations!
Not-so-Beginner Course
This is our Level 2 – Not-So-Beginner Workshop, designed for players who already understand the basics of Mahjong and can complete a simple winning hand. Now, it’s time to take your skills to the next level!
In this course, we’ll dive deeper into strategic gameplay, scoring rules, and hand construction so you can maximize your points and win with confidence. You’ll learn how to identify high-scoring combinations, plan your discards more effectively, and think ahead to outplay your opponents.
Whether you want to refine your skills for casual games with friends or prepare for more competitive play, this course will help you play smarter, score higher, and truly enjoy the depth of Mahjong.
